Nancy
Nancy is the office manager, preventative dental assistant, and facilitator of Kidszone, our children's program. She has worked with Dr. Perlmutter for over 25 years, continually upgrading her credentials. We are not the only ones proud of Nancy's achievements. The Ontario Dental Nurses and Assistants Association awarded Nancy with a featured spot in its February 2007 publication. Nancy also serves as patient treatment coordinator, helping you understand the different treatment plans, insurance details, and financing options we offer. As a patient of Dr. Perlmutter, she has first-hand knowledge of his skills, particularly with cosmetic dentistry. This allows her to discuss your treatment options with both sound professional knowledge and positive personal experience.
Jolanta
Jolanta is a dental assistant who has worked alongside Dr. Perlmutter since 1989. She emigrated from Poland and almost immediately became fluent in English, learned dental assisting, and passed her H.A.R.P. certification to make dental radiographs (x-ray pictures). She now trains other dental assistants. Jolanta is also a patient of Dr. Perlmutter. She enjoys being a part of Bramalea Dentistry's efficient team and serving our loyal patients.
Cathy
Cathy, our primary hygienist, has been with us since 1996. She has developed a reputation among our patients as someone reliable, gentle, and thorough with her cleanings. She has been a member of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario since 1995.
Tricia
Tricia is a dental assistant who joined us in January 2004 as a co-op student from CDI College. She has been well trained here by Nancy, Jolanta, and Dr. Perlmutter. Tricia obtained HARP Certification, allowing her to make radiographs (x-ray pictures). In addition, she passed her Level 2 Certified Dental Assistant exams. She works primarily as a chairside assistant with Dr. Perlmutter, but also uses her Level 2 skills working with children as a preventive dental assistant.
Ashley
Ashley, a dental hygienist, joined us in September 2005, originally covering Cathy's maternity leave. Since Cathy's return, Ashley has continued to share dental hygiene duties. Ashley first came to Bramalea Dentistry a few years ago as a dental assisting student. We liked her then and she was impressed with our office. We were lucky to find each other again when the maternity leave opportunity arose. We are very pleased to have Ashley as a hygienist.
Sabrina
The youngest member of Bramalea Dentistry's staff, Sabrina has been here since 2005. She works part-time at the front desk booking appointments. Having completed a high school co-op for dental hygiene/assisting, Sabrina is now enrolled in George Brown College's Pre-Health Science Program, and hopes to become a dental hygienist in a few years.
Umesh Prabhu
Umesh provides denture therapy services at Bramalea Dentistry. He first visited Dr. Perlmutter in 2005 to learn about Canadian dentistry. A graduate of George Brown College, Umesh is HARP certified, which allows him to make radiographs (X-ray pictures). He is also an experienced dentist, licensed to practice in India. He speaks English, Hindi, Arabic, Marathi and understands Gujarati and Punjabi. We are very pleased to welcome him to our practice.
Andre Tal
Andre Tal, a registered dental technologist and the owner of Talisman Dental Laboratory, has provided most of Bramalea Dentistry's dental laboratory services since 1988. Although not a staff member, he is considered an integral part of the Bramalea Dentistry team. Patients are often referred to him for custom colour selection when specialized porcelain work is needed. Andre helps Dr. Perlmutter design new smiles for cosmetic dentistry patients. Using digital photography, he can do cosmetic imaging on his computer, as well as changing the shape of teeth on the patient's stone casts. Together with Dr. Perlmutter, Andre has been attending continuing education courses at the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In 2004, Andre added the Easyshade electronic shade matching system to his armamentarium. In 2005, Andre became a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Laura
Laura is a dental hygienist who has worked with us on Saturdays for several years.
