Examination

There are two types of examination: oral and extra-oral. The oral exam involves checking the teeth, gums, bones supporting the teeth, all soft tissues in the mouth, and examining the mouth for odour. Extra-oral examinations include checking the muscles of mastication and the temporomandibular joint.
